Final Portfolio

This 4-work collection serves as my final portfolio submission for ART141. For this assignment, we were asked to select a theme to tie each piece of our portfolio together. My theme is "Women in STEM"; specifically, recognizing the women that have paved the way and uplifting the next generation of female scientists. This theme was inspired by the Netflix documentary "Picture a Scientist", a devastating documentary highlighting the harrassment and hurdles women have to overcome to stand a chance in the STEM field. This documentary opened my eyes to what goes on behind closed doors at other universities, and has made me incredibly grateful to have been trained in such an inclusive and encouraging environment at Pomona College. Thus, with this final portfolio, I hope to acknowledge female scientists of past, present, and future, and offer a positive portrayal of girlbosses in STEM
